Completion of an exciting new challenge

I have just completed a painting of a one year old, Harry, for his first birthday and his parents are thrilled.  Have a look on the oil painting page of the website.  Everyone is delighted that it has captured not only his likeness but also his personality.
Roger believes that the success is due to his knowledge of child photography, gained over many years.  The use of photography is the ideal way to create paintings, not only of children, for whom it is ideal as they are so active, but also for portraits of adults because people no longer have the time to sit in a studio, while a painting is being created.  This way, the painting is ready five to six weeks from the photographs being taken.  After all, many of the old masters used camera obscura to create paintings going back to the 15th century.
